A clean sweep for Exeter in all three of the 2023 Junior Bristol & West League competitions. Our U17 team followed their U13 & U15 counterparts in powering through at Millfield School in Somerset yesterday, seeing off City of Bristol in the semi-final and going on to beat Welsh Wanderers in the gold medal match. Coach Andy Saulter congratulated his team for "their really great work ethic and support for each other" as Exeter took the title convincingly. The match against Bristol showed our strong teamwork as, no-less-than, eight of...

Our U13s, who entered two teams in the Bristol & West tournament, a younger ‘B’ Team who played great with many of them it being their first competitive tournament experience, losing two matches vs Bristol and then Cheltenham but drawing 4-4 in a great game vs Taunton. Fantastic results from the Bristol and West junior competition at Millfield yesterday. Our under 15's won the gold medal with five convincing wins over Newton Abbot, Bristol, Cheltenham, Taunton and Paignton. The whole team played so well and stuck to the team tactics. Player of the tournament went to captain Bernat Amado for sterling defending all day. Most improved player went to Max Looker. Thank you to Lucy and Stuart for coaching and Natalie for team managing. Also, thank you to the parents who were doing the table nearly all...

Our U17 boys are off to Sunderland this coming weekend to represent Exeter City WP in the National Age Group Championship Finals. A huge achievement for the club - they have reached the final four teams in the country and will be up against tough opposition in the shape of Manchester in their first game. Some of our older lads have played against the big guns of City of Manchester and London Penguin before, but for several of the younger players this will be their first experience at this level....

With their new sponsored team kit, our U13 team continued into the second Devon League tournament of the year, gaining three big wins and a draw to remain undefeated this season. Finding themselves 2-0 down vs Paignton, our team found great composure, with a crucial first-period goal from Jenson Rowe and two powerful second-period goals for Marley Hurst to pull the game back and end level. What a game! We had 20 kids playing in this tournament, 13 of the older players for Exeter and 7 of our younger players...

Great performance from the Under 15's saw them take their second win of the week with a 25-4 win over Taunton. Fielding their new team T-shirts the team only conceded one goal in the last three quarters. Man of the match was goalie Alex with some great saves but more importantly his long passes and the most improved player Luke who combined with Alex for a great 20 meter pass and then first time shoot. With ten goals Joe was on target again. Thank you to our team sponsors.

Our U17 boys travelled to Gloucester yesterday to compete in the qualifying tournament for this year's National Age Group Championships. We were up against some tough opposition in the shape of Worthing (the current reigning champions), Cheltenham, Northampton, Birmingham and Sheffield. Starting out with Worthing first, we were barely warmed up, and our passing left something to be desired at times, but we gave them their tightest game of the day, eventually losing out by two goals, 7-9. The other four matches all resulted in wins for the Exeter lads,...
