POWELL PEAKS in the final Division 2 weekend

Exeter Water Polo

POWELL PEAKS in the final Division 2 weekend - scoring 13 goals and topping the leaderboard at the end of Phase 1 - equalling Invicta’s, Jack Waller, on 29 goals with a 4.1 goal average

Invicta were left in the bottom three - and heading for Championship 2 - after losing 15-14 to Exeter in their final game. A draw would have put Invicta in the top five. But those places go to Watford Water Polo, Portobello ASC - Swimming and Water Polo Club, Exeter City Water Polo & Swimming Club, City of Bristol Water Polo and Caledonia Water Polo - Mens team, with Southampton City Water Polo and Hucknall Water Polo Club joining Invicta Water Polo Club in Championship 2

The Exeter frontman has dominated this season from position 4, with Reuben identifying his side’s 6 v 5 statistics as a key factor this season:

“It’s been a close season in division 2 this year, and I’m very happy to have been able to help the team finish 2nd in the league and, most importantly, qualify for championship 1 in the new year.

As a young team, we’ve spent a lot more time focusing on our man-up, both offence and defence, which has helped us be far more clinical than last season.

All focus now goes into championship 1, and hoping to get some good results against another strong set of opposition!”
