U14's get triple wins at Devonport Friendly Tournament

 

Congratulations to our U14’s for triple wins at the Devonport Friendly tournament. And thanks to Devonport for the invite and organising.

 

The first game was a closely fought battle against Taunton, finishing 4-3 to Exeter. A very nervous and shaky starter game for Exeter, but understandably so due to not having full training sessions since mid-February.

 

Second game vs Paignton, our team improved well after the first match and came back together with more decisive play in attack and defence, winning 6-1.

 

Third game vs Devonport, we started with our newer players to the team, and they built a great 4-0 lead in the first period, with more experienced players coming in at the end to wrap it up at 11-0.

 

Top effort from all, and nice to get back to playing matches.

 

So good to see this age group back together with such good team spirit. And great to also play with a spread of experienced players, a few newer players, and a couple who gained their first match experience.
