Schools out! (ESSA U15 Tournament)

 

Congrats to those selected, and well done to the Exeter players and players who train with Exeter (from other local clubs), who attended the 2024 English Schools Swimming Association U15 Duke of Cambridge Cup water polo tournament held in Coventry this weekend. (Luke Mardon, Oliver Wallace, Molly Dean, Kate James, Toby CY, Will Mock)

 

This well-organised ESSA tournament brought together approx 50 of the best U15 boys and girls from around England to form 4 teams playing against each other in two mini leagues, one for boys and one for girls. The combined points score of the girl's and boy's teams then decided the champs.

 

Team Typhoon (white) came out on top, which included Luke and Oliver from Exeter in the boys' team, with Luke being selected as the boys' team captain to be jointly awarded the trophy alongside the girls' captain.

 

Well done to all who took part. The tournament made for some very competitive gameplay.
